Ingredients:
- Chicken – 1 Kg
- Onion(Medium) – 2 Nos.
- Tomato (Large) – 1 Nos.(optional)
- Ginger – 2 Inches
- Garlic – 1 Bulb
- Cloves – 4Nos
- Green Cardamom – 3Nos
- Cinnamon – 1 Small piece
- Fennel seeds – 1 tbsp
- Black Pepper – 2 tsp
- Lemon – 1 No
- Curry Leaves – 2 Strands
- Coriander Leaves – 5 Strands
- Turmeric Powder – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli Powder – 1 tbsp (Add More if required)
- Coriander Powder – 1.5 tbsp
- Chicken Masala powder – 2 tbsp
- Water – 1 cup
- Cooking Oil – 50 ml
- Salt – As per your taste
Ginger Garlic Paste:
- Clean and Wash (Ginger, Garlic, 2 strands Coriander leaves)
- Add these in a mixer Jar along with Fennel Seeds and Black Pepper
- Grind them all together to a fine paste
Chicken Marination:
- Clean and Wash the chicken
- Add ½ tbsp Red chilli Powder
- 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Turmeric
- Add lemon juice
Cooking Method:
- Heat the Pot and add Oil
- Add Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon , Fennel , cut garlic.
- Add finely Chopped Onion and Curry leaves
- Stir few mins until onion turns transparent and brown
- Add Ginger/Garlic paste
- Stir them all until raw smell goes
- Add Tomato to the masala
- Stir all these ingredients in Medium flame until oil separates
- Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, chicken masala and salt – stir them all for 2 mins to blend nicely
- Add the marinated chicken to the masala and mix them well
- Close the lid to cook well
- Add salt as per your taste
- Leave the flame in medium to cook for 15- 20 mins
- Occasionally stir the gravy
- Turn off the flame and garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves.
