Ingredients:
- Prawn – 1kg
- Onion(Medium) – 2 Nos.
- Tomatoes (Large) – 3 Nos.
- Ginger – 2 Inches
- Garlic – 1 Bulb
- Green Chillies – 3 Nos.
- Cloves – 4Nos
- Green Cardamom – 3Nos
- Cinnamon – 1 Small piece
- Fennel seeds – 2 tsp
- Black Pepper – 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves – 2 Strands
- Coriander Leaves – 5 Strands
- Turmeric Powder – 2 tsp
- Red chilli Powder – 1.5 tbsp (Add More if required)
- Coriander Powder – 2 tbsp
- Garam Masala powder – 2 tsp
- Cooking Oil – 30 -50 ml
- Salt – As per your taste
Ginger Garlic Paste:
- Clean and Wash (Ginger, Garlic, 2 Green chillies, 2 strands Coriander leaves)
- Add these in a mixer Jar along with Fennel seeds, Black Pepper
- Grind them all together to a fine paste
Prawn Cleaning:
- Remove the digestive tract from prawn
- Wash in clean normal water adding some Turmeric powder ( reduces strong smell)
Cooking Method:
- Heat the Pot and add Oil
- Add Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon , Fennel
- Add finely Chopped Onion and Curry leaves
- Stir few mins until onion turns transparent and brown
- Add Ginger/Garlic paste , keep the stove in medium flame
- Slit and add Green chilli
- Keep Stirring until raw smell goes
- Add small cut tomatoes to the masala and mix well for few mins until oil separates
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt – stir them all for 2 mins to blend nicely
- Add washed prawns to the masala and mix well
- Leave the flame in medium to cook for 15- 20 mins
- Add garam masala for the Aroma(optional)
- Stir the masala until all water drains
- Turn off the flame
- Garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves.
Finally your spicy prawn semi-dry is ready to serve. Enjoy with family and friends…
