Goes well with : Dal rice, Curd rice, Rasam rice, Sambar rice
Ingredients:
- Sepankizhangu – 500gms
- Mustaard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
- Red chilli Powder – 1 tbsp (Add More if required)
- Cooking Oil – 50 ml
- Salt – As per your taste
- Water – 1 cup
- Lemon – 1 No
- Curry Leaves – 2 Strands
- Onion (small) – garnishing/ decorating
Pre-Cook Sepankizhangu:
- Wash and add them in a pressure cooker with water
- Leave it for 1 whistle
Cooking Method:
- Heat the wok and add Oil
- Add mustard seeds and curry leaves
- Add the boiled Taros and saute them
- Add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt leave it medium flame until raw smell goes
- Carefully saute them from getting mashed
- Do not allow them to burn so saute often gently
- Once the masala is coated properly, keep it in medium-high flame and keep sauteing
- Garnish it with curry leaves , lemon juice
- Decorate it with Cut onions
